Welcome to Rugby School's online archives

Our archives comprise of several thousand items, mainly documents, photographs and prints relating the history of the school, and materials by and about Rugbeians, both pupils and staff.

The online archives are a long-term project providing online access to some of the archive collection. This includes:

  • The Annotated Registers 1675-1946
  • Memorials of The Great War
  • The Meteor 1867-2006
  • War Diary of 1914-1918 (Head Master Lyon)
  • Old Rugbeian Society Letters 1910-1937
  • Some photographs are also available

We are currently working to add more content to our online archives for the Bicentenary of Rugby Football in 2023.

Please note that we are currently undertaking some very big projects in this department and at times the enquiry service may be closed.

There is currently no onsite access for members of the public wishing to research the archives. When the enquiry service is open we can accommodate more in depth research, please contact us using the details above.
